Great service. We are downsizing dramatically so a dumpster versus multiple trailer loads was the way to go. When I called, the lady that answered walked me through everything from start to finish as well as got me the correct size dumpster based on my needs. Very professional but friendly service. Their website is informative, but the receptionist was amazing. She asked what project I was working on and helped me select the dumpster to meet my needs. They sent the dumpster out the next day. They did an amazing job with communication. Between speaking with the receptionist and receiving the emails, there was no question unanswered. Local Guide to Northport
Northport is a quiet city in the heart of Alabama. This is a place with a traditional American downtown that still retains its traditional feel. The 19,000 people that are lucky enough to call it home enjoy everything it has to offer.
Kentuck Park is the center of activity in Northport. There’s an annual arts festival that takes place in the park every year. It’s an opportunity for local artists to showcase their talent and it brings curious visitors from all over. Traditional and folk art are part of the event, but there’s also contemporary art on display. The festival also features other creative types such as potters and basket weavers.
During the winter the city holds a Dickens Downtown event which is a must see event. It’s held on the first Tuesday of December and it’s a recreation of 19th century England. You can actually see what it was like to live in the time of Scrooge and Tiny Tim.
If you’re visiting Northport for the first time, or you’re a resident that wants to know more about your town’s history, The Northport Heritage Museum is a great place to start. This interesting museum explores the documented history of the area and has a great collection of historical artifacts and photographs from various periods in the city’s development.
If you enjoy the great outdoors, Lake Lurleen State Park is just a few minutes from the center of town. It’s a great place to spend a day with the family, try a little fishing, or spend a couple of nights camping away from the bustle of modern life.
